Stockholm is one of my favorite cities in the world. It is very beautiful, the historic capital of Sweden. I've visited Stockholm over a dozen times, enough to learn a respectable fluency in the Swedish language (which is much easier than German). It's also home to dear old friends. Greetings from the Tahitian island of Moorea. Susan and I visited Moorea thirty years ago for part of one day around when we worked as entertainers on Royal Viking Lines. Cruise ships typically spend less than one day in most ports of call. So we were easily seduced by an offer from Costco Travel for a one week trip to Moorea.
Our safari trip consisted of two weeks in Kenya and one week in Tanzania. It was nice to visit both countries for a broader perspective on how each is using its diverse animals to attract tourism.
Tanzania is larger than Kenya and has 125 different tribes, compared with Kenya's 45 different tribes.

This blog was written during our ten-day visit to Israel. My wife Susan’s sister Aliza has lived in Israel for decades. In our thirty-five years of marriage, Susan and I have visited Israel at least a dozen times. Israel is a dynamic society of high-achieving hard-working people.
To tour a country as part of a group tour necessarily results in a superficial introduction to the countries visited. But the advantage is that all the logistical details are covered in advance by the tour company. In the case of this Go Ahead tour, we spent two days in Portugal, followed by five days in Spain, to be followed by a week in Morocco.
