   Fascinating. We have been to Valparaiso and the casino area. Loved wine tasting in the Chilean highland region. I love the pics and the history you share to better understand the region. Unfortunately man’s inhumanity to man continues to this present day. When we will learn Love is the answer? Love, Cousin Terri

   Again, I thank you Dallas for your very informative blog regarding Chile, its incredible beauty as well as its sad history. My Chilean adventure is much, much shorter: I applied for a school teaching position with an American mining company. My application was denied on the basis that I was single; Chile had, and may still have, a punitive income tax on single men. Phil
