    Such a beautiful example of how elephants express their affections and connections and love of each other. 

    When I was a kid, elephants became for me an archetype. I think it began from when my parents took me to the St. Louis Zoo and I saw a live elephant for the first time. The big old thing came up and stretched out its trunk. It blew my mind as a little kid.
