Great photos! The houseboat experience looks like fun. I'm wondering, though, what was the condition of the rivers and waters in India while you were there? Has the pollution situation improved?
The pollution, especially in comparison to the 1970s has greatly improved, but much still needs to be done. The 1980s and 90s, too.
Water pollution continues to be a big problem in India. You should always drink bottled water.
It's a good idea to travel with a portable water filter.
