As usual, a thought provoking and beautiful blog with pictures and images to go with the words, and expand beyone them. We will have to talk about the pattern of contact at work which does not carry on after-work. This is common here as well along racial lines. (It also exists through class lines, but that doesn't "show up" as well as race or ethnicity - or in the case of Israel "dress-defining-ethnicity" - which shows up particularly in women's dress.) Also, I want to support the recommendation in an earlier blog for reading "The Lemon Tree" by Sandy Tolan. (Note: There is a movie by the same name, it is not the same story at all, although also well worth seeing.) It really helps understand the situation and its seriousness. (But then I can't think of anything in world or local politics that isn't seriously troubling these days.) Glad to hear Susan's work getting an international forum. Hope Hadassah Hospital is smart enough to pick up on the C.A.R.E. channel. Al and I look forward to talking with you when you both get back. Love, Harriet
